Worshipping God’s Messianic King
The Kingdom of God is the pivotal and central reality revealed throughout Scripture. The Kingdom of God is the sphere of God’s rulership and dominion, thus God’s all-encompassing active rulership over “all reality”.
The Kingdom is fully revealed through its King, Jesus Christ. The pinnacle of God’s salvation is the restoration of His rule through Jesus over all humanity, society and creation. Church is about Jesus and His Kingdom. We do everything to bring glory to our King and extend His Kingdom (Mat 6:33).
Extending the influence of the Kingdom
Jesus empowers the church with the keys of the Kingdom (Mt. 16:19). The church is to contend for the Gospel in the power of the Spirit (Col. 1:29) by preaching the Gospel with signs accompanying within its own community.
The church is tasked with extending the Kingdom in every sphere of influence. The task is accomplished through deliverance, prayer and social impact. The Spirit is our empowering Agent in the task of extending the Kingdom within our community.
Discipling the nations
Jesus instructs his disciples more than once at different locations that this message of the Kingdom needs to be preached globally (Mt. 28:16-20; Mk. 16:15-16; Lk. 24:47-48; Acts. 1:4-9; Jn. 20:21).
We are instructed to disciple nations (Mt 28:18-20), thus we travel to the nations of the world.
